We loved the atmosphere, casual and elegant. We chose to sit outside and eat family style and ordered 4 appetizers, 2 pastas and a desert for 2 adults, 3 children. My husband and I both enjoyed cocktails. Our favorite dishes were Pane di Patate Azzimo con Funghi, Zucchine e Ricotta, Foglie d’ulivo con broccoli, stracciatella e acciughe and Torta all’olio Extra Vergine di Oliva. Thank you for a lovely evening!

I’ll be back! Food was divine! Order the focaccia and the fish. It was delicious!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Forma in the charming Joo Chiat area of Singapore’s East Coast today with my wife, and it was an exceptional experience. As someone from the Ligurian region, I was intrigued to try their Focaccia di Recco. While it had a slightly different appearance compared to the traditional version, the taste was absolutely spot-on—delicious and satisfying. For our main course, I chose their pasta with Pesto Genovese, which was perfectly balanced and truly authentic, while my wife opted for pasta alle vongole. It was prepared just like a real Italian dish—simple, flavorful, and showcasing high-quality ingredients. To finish, we indulged in a unique tiramisu made with smoked artichokes—a creative twist that worked beautifully. Alongside the meal, I enjoyed an IPA beer from a renowned Italian producer, adding a perfect touch to the overall experience. The bill came to SGD 150, which was well worth the quality and atmosphere. Roberto, the manager, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. As a fellow Italian, he created a great connection with us, recommending dishes of the day and interacting warmly not only with us but also with the other patrons. To top it off, he treated us to coffee, making the experience even more memorable. The restaurant itself boasts a lovely ambiance, and while we dined indoors, the outdoor seating looked inviting, especially on a breezy day. Dining al fresco would definitely be a great option.Overall, Forma is a must-visit. Excellent food, warm service, and a charming location—it’s a gem in the East Coast area. Highly recommended!

Awfully overpriced. We spent over $160 for 2 pax lunch - 1 starter, 2 pastas and 2 glasses of wine. Our previous visit was years ago when they first opened. Because of the notorious booking system and subpar food from my vague memory, we never felt the need to return. We walked in this time round and they had available tables for lunch.Food wise is acceptable but unsure why the linguine vongole had a thick creamy base? Figs and prosciutto was great though. With the many good quality Italian restaurants coming up, this really pales in comparison.

visited forma a week ago with my friend. service was excellent, we appreciated the lowdown on the menu from the staff and the food has gotten better since last visit. everything we ordered was a delight.however, after the dinner we both suffered food poisoning (constant runs to the toilet) and had emailed them to inform them. it lasted 2 days for my friend. the reply was quite unsatisfactory; they mentioned that we ordered popular dishes, they hadn’t gotten any other feedback and they always use the freshest ingredients. almost felt like we have a problem with our guts? guess that’s it then.don’t think the aftermath experience was worth just below the $200 price tag.

Overall food was decent but very heavy on the salt, prices too expensive so it’s not worth it.We had the Carpaccio di Wagyu con Tonnato as a starter, the fried artichoke was really nice and probably the highlight of the dish, but a pity that the tuna aioli sauce overpowered the entire dish, couldn’t taste the Wagyu. Too much going on.We also had the Polpette di Baccalà, fried cod balls - thought it sounded really unique and can’t find it elsewhere, but it tasted very normal, like frozen fish fingers. The beef (Costata di Manzo) was nicely cooked with a good crust, but the seasoning was too salty. We didn’t even need to dip the salt on the side as it was already salty as is.We also ordered one of the specials for the day, the Seafood pasta. Fresh seafood used, we were hoping for a seafoody umami explosion but unfortunately it was quite average. It’s a good dish but definitely not worth the $98 price tag, probably would pay like $50 for it tho.Ambience was nice but felt more like a cafe bistro than a restaurant. Prices are upwards $20 for a starter, $30-$45 on average for a pasta and $48-$88 for a main course.Definitely was not wow-ed by the food, and would not go back again. We had 2 pax, and we ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 2 glass of house pour wine; the bill came up to SGD$360.Staff were really friendly and attentive tho.

Food was great, though a tad pricey. Wagyu carpaccio was served with frisee lettuce instead of arugula as stated in the menu. Asked about it and was reassured it was arugula only to later be informed that it was indeed frisee lettuce. Steak and pasta were well executed. Mascarpone custard in the Tiramisu was abit too loose for our liking. Cannoli was good, though you have to consume it quick before the ice cream melts. All in all, good experience.

Dined in few weeks back for a friend’s birthday and I was quite impressed with the food, service and ambience ❤️Burrata with focaccia had perfectly toasted bread; altho I would’ve preferred some seasoning on the burrata. Octopus was served with a unique sauce that tasted like local sambal 🥹 but was still enjoyable in terms of the perfectly cooked octopus. The beef carpaccio imo was the best, please get it if you’re dining here.Calamari and eggplant / you could give it a miss. The pasta texture was good and the steak was tender and juicy but I would have preferred if it was simply salt and pepper :)Overall amazing experience still! ❤️

Starter and pasta were good. However, disappointed with the guinea fowl special, as it was overcooked, and way too salty from overuse of pancetta. The sauce which uses liver, was also cuddled. Cannoli filling lacked the richness of ricotta. Service was great by the way!

I really like the authenticity of the many different Italian pasta types that you can find here. It's also nice to see the little work space where all the pasta making gear is hung, adding to the overall vibes. Lastly, having the gentleman explain all the different menu items, including daily specials, was a very nice touch. The few pastas that we tried were beautifully rendered, al dente, and extremely yummy. Especially liked the Ziti alla Zozzona, Umbricelli alla Norcina, and Trenette allo Scoglio. That all said, the unfortunate fact is that the price to quantity ratio is a little unbalanced in my opinion. To be paying the kind of prices they charge, yet not feeling full at the end, is a bit of a missed opportunity. Not an easy problem to fix, understandably so.

Very nice dinner with the beefsteak the shout out. Liked the atmosphere and its a cute corner location. The seafood pasta was very nice although there was a very mean serve of pasta with it so was hardly a meal for 2 as we were told. Also the cannoli was a misfire; the filling was a fairly unsweetened cream which was odd and underwhelming.

We were seated in front of the kitchen, next to the restroom. It wasn't too bad; in fact, we felt like we had a private space to ourselves for most of the evening. The service was quite attentive, and the food was excellent, although a bit on the expensive side. We absolutely loved what we ordered, especially the Milanese di Melanzane, Torta all’Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva, and Trenette allo Scoglio. Will definitely be back for more!

Overpriced. Tiny portions. The food tasted very very average. We live nearby so we made a reservation in advance. On arrival they made us wait 10min outside after we gave our reservation details (turns out they forgot when they got back, because they asked us for our names again). My friend was celebrating his bday at this dinner. The ultimate insult - giving us 1 tiny scoop of gelato and 4 spoons for sharing. Come on man.Spent almost $500 but went home hungry cos the portions were ridiculously tiny.

Dog friendly if you dine outside! Pasta servings are small as they are meant for you to order maybe a fish or meat item also. The pasta is perfectly al dente and the sauce is so good they’ll give you bread to mop up the sauce when you’re done with the pasta. One of the best T-bone steak I’ve had. Restaurant isn’t huge so best to make a reservation before heading down. Service is attentive and overall a pleasant experience.

The Sicilian fried salted cod balls were breathtakingly good with the right amount of crisp and softness. The lemon aioli that went with it was perfect as well! We also had the vanilla marinated heirloom tomatoes which were really refreshing and interesting! For pasta, we had Linguine al Limone which had the right amount of zest and citrus. The Bigoli co' Lanara (duck ragu pasta) though tasty, really tasted like Chinese Jajangmyeon - oops.My partner especially love the Cannoli!

We had a pleasant dining experience at Forma. The space is dimly lit, very warm but also hard to read the menu with. We shared the Burratina and the fried salted cod balls, both delicious and a good start. The bread with the burrata was very fresh and one the best we’ve had. For pasta we had the one with the pork sausage and agreed that was the tastiest. The other option was the mushroom, garlic parmigiano reggiano from the daily specials which was just ok. Service was attentive. Both types of pasta we’ve never had before so that was nice to try something new.

Had two tasting menu with my wife, choosing one of each option for every course to try more variety. The pasta are great, being perfectly al dente which is not easy for fresh egg based pasta. But my fav was their interpretation of the ribolita. While traditionally being more like a thick vegetable soup made with bread and cavolo Nero, this version is more like a Korean pancake made with the vegetables and grana (or was it parmigiano). Topped with crispy kale which makes for excellence contrast of texture.Mains are a tad salty for our preference but everything else is great.

My shout out to Mr. Randall and Mr. Roberto for their looking after myself and their guests on a busy Friday night. They gave great recommendations dishes along with popular cocktails. My greatest compliments to Chef Wasabi and the whole kitchen team with their fantastic dishes they've made. Starters were amazing to begin with, and the pasta Gramignia Paglia was incredibly smooth. The Branzino has its beautiful flavour with the butter mixed with chopped herbs and a side of chard lemon, making it smooth and zesty touch.Lastly dessert was unique known as Artichoke Tiramisu with a beautiful balance of Kahlua and dark chocolate chips.A fantastic dining experience and a well recommended place to bring your family and peers!

Definitely the pasta… the go-to. Skip the puny fish which contained bits of broken bones. Pasta comes in types that are not commonly seen. Flavours are great and balanced. Portions are generally small so, don’t worry about over ordering. Had an appetiser but not quite suitable for my palate. Service is prompt and good. Take note of the price… but for the flavour, I think it’s worth the penny (or dollars 😂)

It's hard to get a reservation at Forma, and rightly so. The pastas you find here are incredibly unique, and hard to find not just in Singapore but I'll assume in many cities around the world. I've tried all the pastas on both iterations of the menu so far, and they get the texture of the pasta just right each time and the sauces compliment the pastas and make the pastas the rightful star of the show. There are obviously going to be some that are more favoured than others, but it's a wonderful experience all round. Have been here twice so far, and imagine I'll continue to keep coming - as long as I can snag a reservation.

Since they are known for their pasta, my partner and I tried 4 pastas between the 2 of us. It was really filling since we did ordered 2 appetizer as well as 2 desserts. While their portion is small, I think that it would be just nice if appetizer and desserts are ordered alongside the pastas. The pasta is the star of every pasta dish which is refreshing. No need for fancy protein to outshine the pasta. This is for pasta lovers who enjoy the bite of handmade pasta made from scratch. Appetizer and desserts were really good as well.Highlights for us is Rigatoni (most chewy). I really like the sardines as well. Chestnut tart was pretty good too.

Splendid dining experience. Pasta was top notch, with the tortellini a must try. Parma ham was also very well done, especially coming from someone (me) who is afraid of the usual raw stench. Been wanting to try this place near our hood since it opened. But due to its popularity, it was not possible to get a reservation. Excellent food and service here! The pasta portions might be a little small but that’s because it’s painstakingly handmade with skill and effort - so savour every bite! Loved the texture of the spaghetti and the flavours of the tortellini in brodo, things that you can only find here when in Singapore. The fish was very delicious too however the starters whilst not bad were forgettable. At the end of the night the host of the restaurant was also sending off guests which I felt was a nice gesture. There is the dry pasta and then there is BENFATTO95 FRESH PASTA.Lee Yum Hwa of Ben Fatto 95 private dining has deep respect for the tradition of hand-crafting Italian pasta where pasta makers practiced their daily ritual of rolling pasta by hand in a "laboratori". Sfoglino is bold in its execution; focuses on the simplicity of the texture and shape of each pasta style. At Forma, a new joint venture between Ben Fatto 95 and the Cicheti Group, you will be treated to a myriad of pasta shape options. The likes of Tortellini to Pappardelle are prepared until it is tender and almost velvety to the touch (and to the bite). At Forma, you'll get to appreciate the delicate texture of freshly made pasta coupled with perfect cream- and tomato-based sauces. In my humble opinion, fresh pasta is far smoother and has got a nice chewy bite to it than dried pasta.Book ahead as Forma has a long waitlist.
